The delightful pre-loaded stock photo of a notepad tells you I am a writer of sorts.
But which sorts?
Since 2014 I have been working in VSO’s global communications team, producing digital content and copywriting for recruitment, fundraising and awareness campaigns, through websites, email and social media.
I trained as a journalist at Bournemouth Uni Media School where I got my NCTJ preliminary diploma and did spots of work for local and national magazines and radio, and BBC Factual. I still take a journalistic approach to all my work and do (very infrequent) freelance pieces.
Today I am motivated by working to help organisations whose causes I believe in improve the way they communicate their impact, and engage with their digital audiences. I have worked with some great organisations including Campaign Against Arms Trade, Environmental Transport Association (ETA) and North West Surrey Samaritans. I’ve also done copywriting and reporting for small businesses, corporates and B2B media.
